Scott Martin

We sometimes look up and forget that the moon doesn’t actually glow. It only seems to. As a night photographer, Scott Martin often works on the darkest moonless nights, and is drawn to extreme desert landscapes, the kind of places that can make one feel like they are on the moon.  The subjects of this series are printed with white ink on a dark background, suggesting both the experience of encountering an otherworldly landscape and the way living things create their own light.
