Landscape artist and Texas native, Julie Davis grew up drawing and creating. She earned degrees from Baylor University in education and law. In 2007 she had the opportunity to satisfy her lifelong curiosity to study oil painting and has since earned Signature Membership in Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and American Women Artists. Her work has been featured in Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art, and Western Art & Architecture, and in private collections across the country.
"I'm drawn to the individual expressions of trees and the curious lines of long-forgotten structures. The sense of anticipation and gratitude I feel when studying nature's beauty and dynamic character energizes me. Translating and sharing our landscape is where I find my reward as an artist."
